    I am curious why a velocity squared model wasn't used? Does such a model exist?

    This does represent the quadratic drag model of air resistance, Troy! The "Help" file represents the differential equation better than the Mathlet itself does. The Mathlet text is misleading: a-hat and v-hat look like they should be unit vectors, but they are not. I will try to fix that. Thanks for the comment!
